When I had a cracked head, (#2 cylinder) cylinders #1, 3, and 4 showed normal when doing a compression test. Number 2 wouldn't come up to anything near the others and wouldn't hold the pressure at all. I determined this prior to removing the heads. After removal, I had them pressure tested at a machine shop and, as expected, only #2 failed. Problem still there. There is a new waterpump already installed. My guess is either a bad thermostat or a cracked head. Is a bad thermostat a poosibility - since the radiator and lines are hot? > > Any ideas - PLEASE offer them. > > Thanx in advance... > > Z > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo!
