There has been some interest in the Heidelberg radio I pulled from an 87' Syncro.  The question has come up about a code.  I have been powering the radio up in my garage with a 12V power supply and have hooked up speakers to make sure it works.

The radio powers on and  works fine, so when/why is there a need for a code?
