Subject: Interesting Vanagon in Autoweek Mag

>I was in the tire store yesterday getting some tires put on one of my
> brother-in-law's rental vans and was just paging through Autoweek
> Magazine when I came across a Vanagon for sale in their classifieds. It
> was a maroon syncro with a 3.4l Porsche engine in it and some black
> rims. The owner wanted $22k for it (not a camper). He was in the 401
> area code and named Steve. Anyone know this guy?
