Howdy, The lock on my '82 became very loose recently. By loose I mean that you feel almost no resistance when locking or unlocking it with the key and the little black knob on the inside likewise displays very little resistance in its movement. The locking mechanism is so loose that the black knob sags on the inside and seems like it would lock if I hit a big bump. Looseness aside the lock funcions correctly but I worry that something is so loose that it will vibrate into the door cavity and possibly be lost. Are any of you familiar with these symptoms? Is there a way to fix this without removing the door panel? Thanks, Jonathan Poole '82 AC Westy
