You may recall that last month I was asking for advise on a running problem that turned out to be an injector that had gone bad after it had been rebuilt. I took it back to the re builder (Dr. Injector in Lynnwood, Wa.) and he tested it. The flow rate was 12% higher than spec. This explains what was happening. To much fuel coming in, O2 sensor/ECU try to compensate, the other three injectors now run very lean. BTW, this is exactly the what Mark Drillock suggested when I explained the situation to him at SDM. As for the service, Dr. Injector re-did the bad injector but suggests that it be the backup backup. I'll probably trash it. Then he rebuilt two other injectors (two that had come out of the engine) and offered sincere and honest apologies for the trouble the bad injector had caused. Good and honest service.
