Tabe,

I took mine apart when we got the van 10 years ago and cleaned and lubed it with lithium
grease, but was never happy with how tight it was after. I wondered if there was some way of
shimming them to reduce the clamping force slightly, but never investigated it further - we've
just lived with it for ...umm... ten years... big shortage of round tuits around here!
