Are you serious? On my diesel, the cruise control would be a concrete
block that jammed the accelerator to the floor! : )

You'd have to change alternators to one with a W connection on it,
which the stock diesels alternators don't have, just like setting up
for a tach. You could also use a setup that put a timing magnet on
some pulley or another.
