Subject:Can't remove Auto trans

I have a 1985 GL automatic and the PO rounded off the three torque converter bolts.
  Now do I have to remove the engine and trans together?

  Is there any kind of trick tool or something to remove the three bolts?

  And what size are these? A 10 mm fits but not snugly. A 9 won't .

  I thought these were suposed to be 13mm.
