Richard,
If you have the cash buy oem plug wires and
change the plugs too. Coil would be the next thing
after that. If you are a bit short on cash, try
looking at your engine on a cold dark wet night and
see if you see any sparks aflyin. gary

Subject: 87 Misfires when damp
Hi,
During the winter my 87 Westy began to stumble when
the engine was
damp, usually after a heavy rain storm. The stumbling
is cured by
turning the ignition off and back on again, and goes
away after about
5 or 10 minutes of driving.
Any one have an idea as to what the problem is?
Thanks.
