I just installed remote locking in my Mercedes last weekend. I got an el cheapo Audiovox unit for $50 from AutoZone. Hooked up four wires and voila, remote locks - 20 minutes time investment. I just opted for remote locks and none of the other fluffy frilly bells and whistles. I don't understand why you couldn't just tap into the factory wiring and use the existing master actuator. Honestly, I haven't investigated much, so maybe I'm missing something fundamental here.
