Your in trouble all the way around. An unused compressor is trash. I would
contact Dennis Haynes and ask about your Sable. A compressor that is not
turned on only uses the pulley as an idler.Did the bearing suddenly and
catastrophically fail? I suspect another  component failed,besides the
compressor., A locked up engine will jump the belts, too.
