The little strap (or straps, maybe there are two of them) which support
the door on the glove box when it is open have failed and gone to glove
box door strap heaven. Unless you support the door by hand when opening
it, everything tumbles to the floor in a messy pile. Are these straps
available? Is there some clever replacement involving (it is hoped)
chewing gum, bungees, dental floss, shoestrings, and fishing hooks . . .
or at least one of them?
