Ok, so I'm an idiot. I spent a great day working Blue Midget (my '80 Westy) and got new fuel lines installed to the expansion tanks, repaired my speedometer, installed a new fire extinguisher mount, and patched up some interior trim. Great. So I take my daughter and we go to the nearest gas station (25 miles away) to get gas and pizza (yes, there is a pizza place in the gas station). Fill up all the way, for the first time in weeks, not a drop of gas spills, no drips under the car, and I am thrilled. Got the pizzas and headed home. A great night. Until I realized I forgot to put the dang gas cap on at the station. Damn! So - searching the web and a few calls - 1. The gas station couldn't find it. 2. AutoZone doesn't have one. 3. Neither do NAPA, Checker or any place else likely to be open tomorrow. So, anybody know a place I might be able to turn one up on a Sunday, since I am heading to Purgatorie on Monday AM for a few days camping. I can maybe try the dealer on the way through town Monday if I have to, but I had planned to go back roads instead of highways, and so miss town if I could. Failing that, anyone got one they want to get rid of for less than the $20 Bus Depot will sell me one for? Thanks, David.
