Well, I did take several short trips as a shake down for Mexico...but you know about Murphy...my best friend is on her way back from Guatemala in her Westy....she swears by hers even though she too has had issues, but it seems the folks down their are quite knowledgeable and helpful. ----- Original Message ---- From: Steven Johnson <sjohnso2000@yahoo.com> To: John Lane <westy_cruisin@YAHOO.COM>; vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Saturday, July 22, 2006 10:46:57 AM Subject: Re: Florida to Corpus Christi to PA Trip Nothing like a good shake-down cruise, eh? ;) Really now, sorry for all your hassles on your trip. I think you made a good decision not to go to Mexico. I'd make some more shorter trips in it to make sure all is fine although nothing is guaran- teed. Just ask Benny.... :o I guess I was just lucky on my trip across the country. Just had to add oil about every day after 10 - 12 hours of driving. Not bad for a '91 Westy with 189,000 miles on it and the original heads. Hope your next trip goes better. Cheers!
