I got my replacement from a rabbit convertable.I think it is a part that is
used in many vw autos. I removed the steering wheel from the rabbit,and
then had to remove the copper foil from a  piece of  plastic. the palstic
doesnt fit vanagons,but thecopper firs fine. Get a low mileage part.I think
this foil survives better in vw cars ,than the vanagon,for some reason.
Should be able to find this foil in good condition.
