I have two systems using stainless currently.  One complete on my Syncro camper (only comes out on sunny days in the summer) and a stainless J-pipe and Stebro muffler on another Syncro.  The second set is run all year in the NorthEast and seeing rain, snow ......salt..... it has tarnished a little bit and turned a bit blue in areas where it must get really hot, but other than that, no rust at all.  The Stebro still polishes up with neverdull nicely.  Both systems have been on the vans for over 5 years
