When I first got my van, I ran the skylight into the bottom edge of the garage door. I have since adjusted the door's spring tension to give me about 1" clearance. Before that the door hung 2" below the opening. My main garage has an electric opener so that one has never been a problem. By the way I also have had no issues with the GW skylight. I ordered before I knew of the other source for them. I used silicone to seal all of the screws and around the lip of the seal. But I've seen several references to the fact that if I install a skylight, I can no longer park in a standard home garage. Is that true for any or all skylights? Thanks, Jim
