I used a double layer of the silver bubble wrap insulation that Home Desperate sells in 2 and 4 foot rolls. Its a good, cheap insulator that won't collect water and also reflects radiant heat as well. I used 3M adhesive spray (the version with a nozzle that shoots a stream vs. a spray) to stick the stuff down---it doesn't take much. Prior to putting that down I used Foilastic roofing stuff on a 9" roll on the metal walls as a sound deadener. 1/4 the price of FatMat and works really well. I found that using flexible smaller sized pieces of both the deadener and the insulation worked best when trying to get into some of the harder to reach areas of the doors, etc. Jeff On Aug 29, 2006, at 2:00 PM, Automatic digest processor wrote: > Date: Tue, 29 Aug 2006 12:23:57 -0700 > From: Florian Speier <groups.florian@GMAIL.COM> > Subject: thermal insulation > > Hi List, > > I just ordered fatmat (following the brent weide trend) for my sound > insulation.
