I too have had rather bad luck with vanagon antennas. Most venders sell two
models.I first bought the cheap model(vender unnamed) thinking it is just a
antenna. Well,. I never figured it out how to put it together,and I am
kinda good at this kind of thing. The chrome was flaking off ,in the box.I
sent it back and it was recieved just fine. I bought the expensive antenna
($10). No problems at all installing it..
