I have a local search capability implemented in Eudora.
I created a separate "Vanagon.com" mailbox,
added a filter (filter "Incoming, <<Any Header>>, contains
GERRY.VANAGON.COM, Transfer To ->Vanagon.com", Skip Rest).
I can then use "Edit->Find->Find Messages" to search locally on my machine.
This is much faster than searching in the archives, but it only works
because I have four years of messages saved in a local mailbox.
