The only good answer to this thread is from Frank!

Before you change a Fuel pump ask yourself why is it making noise?
the BOSCH pump is freeking good, it as been in your van for years, and it
still going. Now, why is it making noise? maybe it's the fuel tank, if it's
the fuel tank, maybe the filter is clogued.. if it's clogued, maybe the tank
is dirty? changing the pump maybe just a "patch" on a bigger problem!

So, that said, change the fuel filter if you have a pre 85, the 86 + have
the filter after!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID design... so, forget the year.. put 2
filter, one before and one after!! period. The one before will save your
pump, the one after will save your EXPENSIVE injectors.

Now, if you change the filter and the noise go away... wait and see how long
it will take till the noise comme back... if soon, change the fuel tank, it
as a bad design (long story). If you change the filter and the noise is
still there, the clogued tank as "SCRAP" (i'm not sure if it's even English)
your pump... it's to late... now you may need a pump + a tank.

EVERYONE know ABOUT Busdepot, Kent, Volkscafe, GoWesty.... i don't think you
guys need to advertise here everytime someone needs a part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have change 8 fuel tank lately instead of fuel pump....

Buy a cheap one and keep it as a spare.

I won't tell that i can sell you a new BOSCH pump for 119.99 CAD... but i
won't, because i don't sell parts on this list!

Cheers, Ben
