RE: Day Fees
A few years ago Washington State Parks started the $5 a day 'use fee' in the
parking lots of all the various parks, including scenic view points, tourist
attractions, etc.  For several reasons like outcry from moms taking the kids
to the beach for the afternoon, public disdain in general, and apparently
enforcement problem, all the day use fees were dropped last Spring.  No
court action involved that I know of.  And this was State, not Federal.
