Neil, Nah, I wasn't mislead... that's about what I expected to see. I haven't used a pressure bleeder like this one... the gotcha with these is that it needs to come with a cap that will fit tightly onto the Vanagon master cylinder so you can put pressure behind the fluid. I went with a vacuum bleeder because it was cheaper, smaller (I'm stingy about my limited sotrage space!), and only needed a rubber cap about the right size to fit over a bleeder screw... if you read the first review on the Amazon page you provided, you'll see that cap fit was a problem for that reviewer. It's a bigger problem for us Vanagon owners with our master cylinder *inside* above our treasured OEM carpets. ;-) Tim At 02:41 PM 9/15/2006 -0400, neil wrote: >HI all. > >I used the term "Power bleeder" in subject line, which >might have been misleading. > >This is what I'm thinking of: > > >http://www.amazon.com/Motive-Products-0251-Import-Bleeder/dp/B0002KM5MY > > >And Tim, thanks for pointer to another idea. > >Cheers, > >Neil. > > > > >--- Tim Demarest <tim.demarest@pobox.com> wrote: > > > > > Power bleeder seems like overkill to me, I've had > > great success with a > > hand-operated mity-vac bleeder kit (09820 kit shown > > here) > > >http://www.mityvac.com/pages/products_hvpk.asp#06820. > > > > You've got to pump a while for the longer lines, but > > it gets the job done. > > > > Tim > > > > > > At 01:11 PM 9/15/2006 -0400, neil wrote: > > >Hi all. > > > > > >Am slowly getting to point of setting wheels of van > > on > > >ground.
