The crossover pipe on my '84's tank is the original and there are no leaks. When I redid the grommets and hoses on my '85 I replaced the crossover pipe only because my "Kit" included a new one. The old one is still good and is now in my spares. Mike Houlton, Maine mad madeline wrote: <snip> > My question is: how often does the crossover pipe need replacing? Is it a really good idea to replace it just because the tank is off and its accessable, or because they really fail? Madeline <snip>
