its really not that hard.,   the metal insert and the green plastic have to
be seperated from eachother in order for the lighter to come out of the dash..
use a small jewlers flathead screwdriver and carefully pry the tabs away from
eachother and slide it out.

i have lighter housings for sale if anyone is interested..
