What worked for me with my 1.9 with the plastic "Cigar tubes" was to clean everything really well and dry it thoroughly then run the engine and look for moist spots. I still check them periodically and any sign of moisture gets immediate attention. Anybody know of a way to test the rail for cracks or leaks without removing it completely? Otherwise just replace the seals and hope that cures the problem. > > > Mad Madeline > '87 Westie - Milko III > 10th VW Van > 14th VW vehicle > 1000's of memories > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Get on board.
