After twenty-one years of faithful service, the groovy tan corduroy upholstery in my wolfsburg westy is starting to separate on the passenger's seat, and it looks like the bench seat isn't far behind... Because this fabric is NLA, I've been looking for an excuse to reupholster. I really wanted to do the brown VW "Mexico Plaid" from the late Bay Windows, but that stuff is some kind of expensive through GoWesty and BusDepot. With my three year-old and two week-old having chosen the Vanagon over the Passat Wagon as their preferred mode of transportation, I had an idea that maybe I'd use indoor/outdoor furniture upholstery if I can find a cool plaid pattern (spill resistant, durable). Does anybody have experience with reupholstering, and know of the costs and possible pitfalls? Or, does anybody have some good tan VW corduroy lying around? Thanks, Joe T. _________________________________________________________________ Try the new Live Search today! http://imagine-windowslive.com/minisites/searchlaunch/?locale=en-us&FORM=WLMTAG
