I had them paint a convertible... they forgot to mask the rear window
and thus painted it.  Then they cleaned the (plastic) window with
lacquer thinner with predictable results.

Sorry, can't amswer your question -- but it should stay lit even at what
passes for freeway speeds in a Vanagon.
