Warren, Congratulations! Any woman that would climb around 300 feet up on the face of a cliff in that country is a good catch. Not many of those out there. Wishing the two of you the greatest happiness together. This past Saturday I became engaged to the most wonderful woman I've ever known. I'm an archaeologist, so I took her to an archaeological site in New Mexico that is located about 300 feet up on a cliff. It took us about an hour to hike to the place. I told her that I needed to reinvestigate a 1 X 1 meter unit that I had previously excavated in order to gather a bit more data for my dissertation. While I had her out looking around for a spike to drive into the ground, I buried the ring. When she returned, I gave her a little training, after which she began to help me excavate the unit. When the little red leather box was uncovered, she was taken aback - "look, someone has lost something!" Then she opened the box, saw the ring, and then it was something like "oh my God!, oh my God!" > > She said Yes, and so right now I think I'm the happiest man alive. > > Just thought I would share the experience with all of my Vanagon friends. > > Warren L. > 88 Westy "Billy Bones" > > >
