sorry, but teenagers and vanagons do mix - my first car with 18 was a five
speed vanagon. someone should have just instructed the poor guy before he
was under group pressure to drive.. yes, when I had my first van, I did
drive off a few of the endcaps of the metal bumpers, so what? In respect to
stick shifts, I grew up in germany, and we have a very simple law about them
- if you do your driving test in an automatic, you will never in your life
be allowed to drive a stick (unless you redo your test).
