If you have a flat passenger side mirror (my 84 did) you can replace it with the improved "Objects in Mirror..." variety. There are products available that 'make paint stick to plastic' -- I use one with the brand-name 'Bulldog' available at auto paint suppliers. Krylon (again) has come out with a version of paint specifically for plastic. Have used both but not on the mirrors. Geo -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
