Sometimes I amaze myself, especially since other projects attempted recently have not gone as well. I have previously described the little bracket I made to hold the drive gear in place, and it appeared that everything was as it should be, with nothing turning when it should not (or not, when it should) so I reinstalled the instrument cluster and finally took a test drive today; 9 miles and counting. The reset works too, and I promise I will NEVER touch it unless at a complete stop. Karen has completed her project of lining the Westy curtains with silvery metallic ironing board cover fabric, and adding more snaps for more complete closure. This mod darkens the interior considerably with only a few light leaks around the edges, and we hope the lining (silver facing outside) helps keep the interior cooler as well, although no true insulating layer was used.
