I have a Propex heater as well and used to have a Platinum Cat in my 84
(which also had a factory gas furnace, too). The combo of the gas
furnace and cat with its radiant heat is hard to beat. Instant warming
of the camper with the blast furnace and a vented cat that can be run
all night. The cat is very quiet, much more so than the Propex. Be nice
if the Propex put out a bit more heat and made less noise, but does do
a good job of taking the chill off. It's a different kind of heat than
the cat which is more like a wood stove in terms of how it heats your
body. It does not heat the air much, but can warm the body faster when
you sit close by.
