I've never much cared for WD40 as a penetrant.  My preference is PB
Blaster, available at most auto chain stores.  It's nervous work using a
lot of force in this situation so I'd try a purpose designed penetrant
first.  I also don't much like the idea of warming up the engine but
others may have opinions on that.
