While I'm in there, does it make sense to replace the fuel sender? My gas gauge now functions like my parents' old bus's did: swings quite a bit when the tank is less than half full, esp. when driving up and down hills. Is the overreactive gauge just a function of tank layout, or is it something I can fix while I've got the tank dropped? Dan, you may have to change out the fuel sender due to a crack in the plastic housing. I have seen quite a few cracked and leaking. You won't know until you get it out and examine it up close under good light.
