All is well, change over in '88 with the addition of the flow through
ventilation (addition of the air vents in the back windows).  In your ;90
(like mine) you can't get outside air from the side vents, it has to pass
through the heater.  Pre '88 you got outside air straight to the vents when
they were opened.
