I think I found a pretty good deal on a 5 speed
modified ttransmission located in Germany, and the
seller is willing to ship to the US-

My questions are-
A) who do I go with to ship this? DHL?FedEx?
B) how do I avoid the extra fees everyone is talking
about? It's a private individual, shipping to a
commercial location in the US.
C) any other tips or tricks would be greatly
appreciated. I figure the trans will wieght about 150
lbs once crated.

what does a vanagon transmission weigh anyway? I know
I can pick one up without too much difficulty..
