Backing plate, or splash plate? Rotors ,in front have a unpainted splash
plate.The rear backing plate has all the brake hardware mounted on it. If
the backing plate is not bent, and has good bosses for the brake shoes to
slide on(better regrease them), you now have brake ventilators!) Lucky you.
I*f you have a splash plate issue. You got ventilators. Lucky you!!
