Hi. Would order from a vendor such as Bus Depot, but wanted to get job done asap. Since they are in U.S., I assumed shipping would take too long...... border and all. Thanks for info re CIP studs. It looked like the EMPI ones would fit even though too long. I figured I'd cut/grind blank end (or leave as is? No harm?) as it looked like threads are long enough. And thanks for quick check w/VWOA. Oddly enough, the local VW dealership in North Van said he had no stock and he'd have to get them from U.S. Hmm..... Cheers, Neil. --- Old Volks Home <oldvolkshome@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > Why not just get the right studs from Bus Depot (or > more expensively from > the VW Dealer)? > > 211 501 627 A - 34.5mm (1.36") long - $3.95usd ea > (Dealer gets $11.25usd > ea!) > http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=211501627A > > A quick check with my VWOA contact says: > 1 - Vancouver Depot > 65 - Toronto Depot > > Call Bus Depot and see what they have or can get > with that same VW number. > > It's possible that Dorman, a major US manufacturer > of wheel studs for the > aftermarket *may* list this, but I don't remember > ever seeing it in their > catalogs.
