Subject:aux fuel tank

an Idea I've had recently for my syncro project was a 8" diam 30" long spun alum buggy tank.
they are far more readily available then any left over SA tanks (which i've seen installed and are the bomb).

but anyways, it's a thought.. how big in Diam is the westy propane tanks?
I wouldn't think of installing into a 2wd for the height issues, but my syncro project has 235/70 tires
and I could easily fabricate a skidplate that'd hug the tanks..
one could even theorize that 2 8'x30" tanks would fit in just one side under the slider door.
but no fuel gauge sender..

food for thought..
dan in syracuse.

There was a SA group purchase back around 2003, a bunch of listees
bought these tanks. To date I haven't heard of anyone who has gotten
around to installing it though.

It is intended for syncros, fits in the space under the sliding door,
uses the stock 2WD filler location and 2WD expansion tank (drivers
side).
