Well... all this trouble I have been having....with our 1985 Vanagon GL 1.9... was all my fault....! I must apologize to everyone... when I was looking at the wires on the distributor I was putting 1342... out of sheer frustration, I reversed 3 and 4 and it actually runs like it's supposed to..!
