After covering nearly 300 at 40 mph between Western VT and Eastern Maine, and refilling the radiator tank 10-12 times, I was able to find a shop in Maine to figure out where the 1984 westy was losing fluid from. I had just had some coolant tubing work done, and knew that wasn't the problem. Short story is that I need the "coolant distribution pipe" replaced because the thing is getting more and more thinned. This last repair required some welds. The problem: I havn't been able to find that part anywhere on the www, and the one drawing I've seen of the engine shows the part number as 21 which is either correct of part no. 21 is the radiator itself. What I'm learning is that the pipe is no longer being fabricated and is not available. I'm open to suggestions and, since I'm now commuting weekly those 300 miles, I'd like to get it on there before we hit the hard winter months.
