I have lots of experience with cross border shopping. I just bought a widget, and accidentally did not specify USPS shipping. The vendor used UPS so I was all set to clear the package myself through customs. I called UPS to let them know I'd be clearing the package myself, and the rep said that since the value was declared as less than US$20, there were no fees to be paid. No duty, no tax, no UPS clearance fees. The package is supposed to be here on Friday. We'll see if the information I got was accurate. With UPS, I don't count my chickens till they've hatched. tabe johnson/87 westy parked for winter/vancouver, bc
