If it comes down to needing your lock "fixed", he can probably do that. Also
think about a wrecking yard ..... especiallyl if there is one within
reasonable distance having Vanagon's, to get a used one with the key, of
course.

Today I went to open the rear hatch on my 1987 Vanagon and nothing happened!
I can push the lock bottom in but it will not release the hatch. Has anyone
had this problem and what can be it's problem?
