on the topic of getting towed by AAA, my westy was slightly damaged by them:-( the towing guy used those magnetic lamps to put on the back of the van, ad due to the poptop, they wouldnt really hold up anywhere. so he put them on the rounded top part of the rear hatch. after 15 miles, one fell off, and both left scratches. one month later , the scratches turned into flaked off paint:-(
