Limited electronically, around 5600rpm. Don't make it spin that fast. I was driving my 1983.5 vanagon 1.9L after changing the antifreeze, it is starting to look like winter down here. I was getting it in second gear, and it semed like the ignition cut out, similar to other vehicles I have driven when the rev limiter is hit. I looked at the rotor, and it did not seem like the aircooled rev limit type I rarely see on anything anymore. It only did it at high RPM and I never tried to rev up the other gears, so do these vehicles have a built in rev limiter, or do I need to start troubleshooting a high speed miss? Thanks in advance
