Automatics.  With all the problems that Listees have reported about their
Stick Shift Vanagons, I am so glad I have my Automatic - nary a problem
since 1997, although I did a complete rebuild 3 years ago when the cooler
corroded out with coolant mixing with ATF at the time.  I like my Automatic
- has never let me down on the road anywhere driving all over the country.
