The women in my family, starting with my wife, will drive standard. Little did she know when she moved here from Austria that she would not only drive a manual up the hills of Aiea on Oahu as her first driving experience, but drive a fully loaded vanagon through wind blown valley exiting through the east of Yosemite with gusts of 70-80 mph. The bucking and my temper when I was teaching her was no fun, but there will be no automatic transmissions in this family. > > George Thorburn wrote: > Sam wrote: > "All miles were personally driven by myself since it has a standard > gearbox > of which most women are afraid". > > Boy Sam are you in trouble now. > My wife learned to drive on a Toyota Corolla with 4 speed standard > transmission.
