I'm past 5 years since purchase at 130,000 miles. Had the yellow/green coolant when I bought it and I've added bars leak (normal size) twice in that time. After the bars leak stays leak free a couple years as a daily driver. I don't expect the bars leak to preform miracles but for $3 a shot; problem solved. 183,000 miles, original engine. Going STRONG and my heaters work GREAT (Wisconsin). Chris C 90MV Mark Brush <mbrush@GMAIL.COM> wrote: Hi all - Anyone have experience with pushing leaking head gaskets to the limit? How long can one expect to resonably drive with leaking head gaskets? It's a tiny drip in the summer (about a susan b. anthony in size on the driveway after two days), and a small puddle in the winter. Can I keep adding coolant until she goes? Any dangers in doing this other than being stranded somewhere? thanks for any insights. Mark B. 1990 Westy
