Does anybody have experience using any type of high temperature anti =

Another question, does anybody know of a good device for removing hose =

Use only stainless steel bolts with ordinary antis-seize on the threads.
The tool your speaking of is an essential for all Vanagon mechanics. Available
from Sears, NAPA, Princess Auto, Harbour Freight and probably more. Mine
came from Sears.
As a side note on those pesky spring hose clamps. I know a lot of
mechanics who just throw them out due to the problem of moving them. They don't
have the proper tool ! It is my opinion that those spring clamps is one of
the better ideas the Germans had. Only one small problem I've found with them
is that is some instance they cannot be opened enough to allow the clamp to
be removed from the hose over the bulge in the related pipe nipple. In these
cases I have cut the tab that limits its opening to make the clamp easier to
install and remove. They do keep constant pressure on the hose connection
under all temperature changes, unlike a screw clamp that does not and besides
chews it's way into the hose as an added benefit !
